01. What it is

Inside the resin.

High-density polyethylene is a stiff, opaque thermoplastic resin extruded into bottles and tubes. Higher density than LDPE means better chemical resistance and stiffness, but slightly less squeezability, which is why HDPE is the default for bottles and the choice for stiffer tube formats.

When should I choose HDPE vs LDPE?

HDPE for bottles, stiffer tubes, and chemical-resistant applications. LDPE for soft, squeezable tubes where premium hand-feel matters. We'll spec the right grade for your format.

Is HDPE recyclable?

Yes. HDPE is #2 in the resin code system and is curbside-recyclable in nearly every US and Canadian municipality.

Can HDPE be 100% PCR?

Yes. 100% PCR HDPE is one of our most-shipped grades and looks identical to virgin once decorated.
