    01. What it is

    Inside the resin.

PET is a rigid, transparent polyester resin, blow-molded into bottles and, in its glycol-modified form (PETG), thermoformed into jars. It's the same resin family as most beverage bottles, which is part of why recycling infrastructure for it is so well established.

    02. Best for

    When to choose PET.

    • Premium skincare and serum bottles where clarity sells the product
    • PETG jars needing more clarity than PP
    • Brands wanting #1 curbside recyclability as a stated claim
    • Retail shelf presence where the customer expects to see the product

    06. FAQ

    Common questions.

What's the difference between PET and PETG?

PET is used for bottles (blow-molded); PETG is a glycol-modified variant used for jars (thermoformed), it's slightly softer and easier to form into wide-mouth shapes.

    Is PCR PET available?

Yes, PCR PET is one of the most widely available recycled resins and works well for both bottles and jars at a range of PCR percentages.

    Is PET food-safe?

Virgin and PCR PET are both widely used in FDA-regulated food and cosmetic packaging; we'll provide the resin documentation your QA team needs.
